"Adviser in International Relations and Environment"

Locally
through creating new possibilities at the local level
In 1999, I formed a group of local residents to close our residential street to through - traffic (except cycles).   See http://www.livingstreets.org.uk for inspiration of similar schemes.

Globally
In 1995 I conceived of a Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus, headquartered in Tbilisi, Republic Georgia.  5 years later, in active cooperation with Dr Anna BRamwell. Kathryn Rae, Nino Chkobadze, Nato Kirvalidze, Zviad Mukbaniani, Timo Summa, Marc Wilke, among many others, the centre was set up.  On his visit to Georgia in 2003, EC External Relations Commissioner Christopher Patten endorsed this project as one of the most innovative, and successful European projects he had come across, given that it  enables three countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia) to cooperate closely together through environment"
